Correct information?

This article claims PB was founded in 1933, and over at Answers, it's claimed to be 1926. I've found two additional sources citing it to be 1926 and as such I will change the article until someone digs up some proof of it being 1933.

Fair use rationale for Image:Packard Bell.gif

Image:Packard Bell.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:14, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

David Packard

I can't be the only one to wonder about the similarity of the names Packard Bell and Hewlett Packard. Was David Packard a co-founder of the original Packard Bell?

OK according to Hewlett Packard there is no connection between the two. I will update the text of this article to make that clear. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.105.234.16 (talk) 15:03, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

I should hope not. Packard-Bell has an absolutely appalling product service website. Lots of 404. Avoid at all costs.82.46.139.31 (talk) 20:33, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

Please improve this article

There are several details missing, especially the history. Why the company was originally named so? By whom? After whom? Also there should be some more details why they were infamous for their quality... --arny (talk) 14:59, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Good Packard Bell ref. site

http://www.fundinguniverse.com/company-histories/Packard-Bell-Electronics-Inc-Company-History.html

I think this is one of the best sites about the company. Even things like the exploitation in Europe. Here in wiki, it says 2000 is starting point in Europe. But it actualy is 1991. If you read it through, you see that many things are incorrect on this wiki site. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.170.231.138 (talk) 19:30, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
