Rosalie, Queensland and merge into Paddington[edit]

I feel that this subject isnt big enough to merit a article on its own, after all it is a locality of Paddington iirc. --Arnzy (talk contribs) 12:48, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, we have already merged a similar article Toombul, Queensland for the same reason as this. I made an edit previously to remove the false info about it being a suburb, and had it on my todo to merge this (along with other localities like it). Rimmeraj 11:27, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I don't disagree with the suggestion, although I don't feel strongly about it either way. In any case, if/when it is merged, it might also be worth mentioning the Primary school at Rosalie, and the fact that there is a shopping strip there. -- Adz|talk 12:06, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I dont really visit Rosalie that often, but I have merged its salvagable parts to the article, a local editor may wish to add about the shopping precinct of Rosalie if they so wish. --Arnzy (talk contribs) 06:28, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Louis le Gould[edit]

What evidence is there that:

  1. Le Gould owned the land on which the Kookaburra Cafe stands?
  2. Le Gould claimed some connection to Napoleon?
  3. Le Gould was not really Le Gould?

It is true that a local newspaper was critical of him in relation to his candidancy as an alderman, but I cannot find any evidence of these other claims about him. He appears to have been well-regarded by others, see this dinner given in his honour. Kerry (talk) 03:04, 6 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Kerry I have a great deal of information about Le Gould, I think it would be much better and quicker if we could talk directly. I don't see how to do that.60.231.64.120 (talk) 03:25, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Anonymous, if you had a username on Wikipedia (see top right corner of your screen), we could talk more easily. But all I am really asking is that you include some information about your sources. The simplest way to add a source is to click on the little "open book with red bookmark string" icon and type the URL or whatever into the form that opens. Or come here to this talk page and just provide the URLs or whatever here and let someone else put them in as references. Or email them to me at kerry.raymond@wikimedia.org.au ; it's OK to just provide the source as best you can, someone else can tidy it up if needed. Please keep adding information to Wikipedia, but I really do think you will find it easier if you create yourself a user account. Kerry (talk) 05:50, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Caxton Street and Suncorp Stadium[edit]

As the upper end of Caxton Street is in the suburb of Petrie Terrace and Suncorp Stadium is in Milton, Queensland (as per current boundaries), I have relocated some of the present-day content relating to these topics to those articles and updated the geographical description accordingly. I have not changed the historical content pending establishing if those areas were once part of Paddington and hence legitimately part of its history, even if not its present day boundaries.
