"In 1869, the Palazzo Malta, and the other headquarters of the Order, Villa Malta, were granted extraterritoriality by Italy.[2]"

I doubt that, as in 1869 Rome still belonged to the Papacy / Papal States. The state of Italy, then a kingdom, had no say until after the Capture of Rome in 1870.86.42.195.135 (talk) 09:29, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
