Split[edit]

Authorities that recognize the split include the latest versions from the African Bird Club; Handbook of the Birds of the World, Birdlife; the Commission internationale pour les noms français des oiseaux; Clements; Howard and Moore; the IOC; Sibley and Monroe (all those according to avibase); the IUCN; Zimmerman, Turner and Pearson's field guide for Kenya; and Ferguson-Lees and Christie's Raptors of the World.
