Division[edit]

The article should be divided in Palin's early life, his Test, his role in the Chaos War, and his role in the War of Souls. Comments about the Academy should go directly in the Academy of Sorcery article. -- ReyBrujo 21:04, 11 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I am suggesting a big chunk of information that appears in the Raistlin's Return section of the Raistlin Majere article be merged here, from the merge announcement to the horizontal line. That information about Palin's test fits better in a new section here than in Raistlin Majere article, since the focus isn't Raistlin punishment, but instead, Palin actions during his Test. -- ReyBrujo 06:01, 26 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Class[edit]

Should Palin be listed as Wizard of High Sorcery, Sorceror, or Commoner? I know it is preferable to go with the least shoicking info, and yet I lean towards Sorceror for some reason...DoomsDay349 02:47, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It depends on a couple of things really. What do you all go by? What he is the most famous for (Wizard), what he spent the most time as (Sorcerer), or what he currently is (Commoner)?--Kranar drogin 09:47, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The least shocking info is generally the consensus...such as Paladine being listed as deity, not elf. DoomsDay349 17:50, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Picture needs replacing[edit]

The picture contained in this article is incorrect. It actually depicts Caramon confronting Raistlin and Crysania at the portal. Simnja 0812 EST Nov 19 2006

No, it is not. That is the picture from The Magic of Krynn. Caramon is trying to stop his son Palin from going into Raistlin's study, while Dalamar is leading him up the stairs. Palin (in white) is clearly a male, not a female.--Kranar drogin 16:02, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
He's correct. That is, in fact, Palin. DoomsDay349 16:44, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Steelpalingilthas.JPG[edit]

Image:Steelpalingilthas.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Notability[edit]

Being the main character in a few novels that sold fairly well is notable enough not to have the big ugly paragraph at the start I think. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.137.207.191 (talk) 13:03, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I completely agree. Lots42 (talk) 12:43, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
