A fact from Palladio (Jenkins) appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 21 February 2015 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that Karl Jenkins derived Palladio, a concerto grosso for string orchestra named after Palladio, from his TV commercial for De Beers diamonds?
The music seems to include piano and wind instruments, and is thus not the original arrangement, which was for strings only 2601:14D:200:2465:C5E0:D107:5372:9337 (talk) 06:21, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
So if it was written in 1995 how in the heck was it in a commercial that debuted in 1993? -Drdisque (talk) 03:01, 21 November 2017 (UTC) Drdisque (talk) 03:01, 21 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Depends on what "it" means". The music for the later first movement appeared in 1993, the other two movements in 1995, so the complete piece in 1995. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:11, 21 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
