Structure of Page[edit]

I've added some sub-headings to try and structure the page a bit. Have only roughly split the existing text so far. It needs a lot more work and references finding for all the individual topics. Copy edit[edit]

Competed a copy edit on the page. This page badly needs reputable inline citations throughout. Removed a few bits of non-NPOV text. Removed the "confusing" tag, as I didn't find the article particularly confusing to read (although more explanations of non-English terms for an English-speaking audience not familiar with India would help even more). // Macwhiz (talk) 17:24, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
