Wiki Education assignment: WRIT 015- Writing for Others[edit]

I am planning on making some changes to the article in the coming weeks. First, I plan to reorganize the article and add sections on Velez’s career and awards she has been nominated for or received to clarify her notability as a pastry chef as well as an activist. I will also be adding information to the section on Velez’s early life to provide the readers with a more specific understanding of her background. I hope to bring the lead section closer to Wikipedia’s guidelines by including a birthday for Velez and reorganizing the information currently in that section to pertain more closely to her notability as an awarded chef and social justice activist. I have created a bibliography with the sources I intend to use to make these changes to the article and how I expect those sources will be useful User:Lilyrvo/Paola Velez/Bibliography.Lilyrvo (talk) 01:30, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The article has a strong base and the sections in the body are appropriate in describing Paola Velez and her work. The majority of the article focuses on the "Activism" section which can show an imbalance in the article. In order to balance the article there should be more content added to the other sections especially "Personal Life" considering it is only a single sentence. The content added can address the motivations behind Paola Velez's work both as a baker and an activist.
