Signature Style[edit]

The article says that this song "does not contain any of the Chili's signature rap or funk that they were primarily known for at the time." But wasn't the album Californication a move away from that style anyway?

A Single[edit]

Parallel Universe was never released as a single.

    • It charted at no. 37(?) on the Modern Rock Charts. I think it was only a 'accidental' chart, kind of like Green Day's J.A.R. or Weird Al's eBay.--Gen. Quon (talk) 19:46, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Song Meaning[edit]

Does this song talk about drug use or mental illness? "Psychic changes are born in your heart.." and so on...?--213.140.22.64 06:20, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's my understanding of it. I read somewhere that the song is about the feeling Anthony Kedis felt when he were on heroine, like he was in a parallel universe. JesseZinVT (talk) 03:52, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
