Oppose merge on the grounds that these are not the same process. The Particle segregation separation article attempts to be very broad, describing a wide variety of ways in which particles in a mixture can separate. Granular convection describes one independently notable type of separation which results in larger particles moving above small ones, leading to inverse grading.
