Duration[edit]

The article states that 'The entire work takes around 20–25 minutes to perform' - however, this seems to assume that no repeats are played? Masaaki Suzuki, for instance, takes 36:47 to perform it, and Trevor Pinnock takes 33:54. Perhaps the original sentence needs some clarification? This entire article needs some clarification. It is entirely unreferenced, for a start, and is written in the style of an elementary-school essay, cribbed from record liner notes with some added unsubstantiated opinions. The article Partita for keyboard No. 6 (Bach) was created at the same time (there are no separate article on the other four Partitas), by the creator of the article on George Rochberg's Nach Bach, plainly for no other reason than to make a cross-reference to that piece. The parent article, Partitas for keyboard (Bach), though itself modest in scope, is far better. It seems to me that these two articles on nos. 4 and 6 should be merged back into the parent article—which would amount to deleting everything except perhaps the link to Rochberg's composition.—Jerome Kohl (talk) 17:08, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
