I'm not sure "Turkey's Change Movement" is good english grammar. Perhaps "Turkish Movement for Change" would be better? --Soman (talk) 17:56, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see anything grammatically objectionable to "Turkey's Change Movement", although it does not seem a straightforward literal translation of the Turkish name – but neither does "Movement for Change in Turkey". There are two principles I can think of for selecting the English name: (1) use the English name as used by the movement itself; (2) use the name most commonly used in English sources.
As to (1), there was an occurrence of "Turkey's Change Movement" here (now removed, but stil readable here), even in the title of the presentation, and one occurrence of "Turkish Transformation Movement" here – also removed, but as I write still in Google's cache. That is all I could find.
For (2), which corresponds to our "common names" policy for article titles, I found only a few occurrences in English-language "reliable sources". Today's Zaman has used "Turkey Movement for Change" at least three times; Hürriyet Daily News has used both "Turkey Movement for Change" and "Turkey's Change Movement", while Sunday's Zaman has used "Turkey Change Movement". Counting Google hits in general, I found:
#Ghits Change
Movement
Movement
for Change
total
Turkey's ...  41   5  46
Turkey ...  19  26  45
Turkish ...  20   9  29
... in Turkey   0   7   7
total  80  47 127
Perhaps not conclusive, but this suggests that "Turkey's Change Movement" is a better article title.  --Lambiam 20:17, 2 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the survey. But 80-47 is by no means overwhelming, and from what I can read there is no well-established English name for the organization. --Soman (talk) 21:37, 2 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
