Down's syndrome[edit]

None of both links in the reference section confirm that he has this syndrome. The first reference just lists "mental retardation" as a keyword for his films (that applies well for many other films and actors, including Forrest Gump and Rain Man. The second link is just an arbitrary collection of the "films showing persons with Down's syndrome". The list is compiled by a volunteer and can not be taken as a credible source. Since the article is about a living person, it is better to have something NOT stated in the article as to have something wrong and offensive. Alaudo 22:14, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, first of all, that's not an insult. He really has the Down's syndrome, you can see his photos here:[1] Gaudio 19:01, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Why was the sourced reference to him having Down Syndrome removed again? The first removal (for using a source which is not in English) has been shown to be in error (please check WP:V if you want confirmation that sources in other languages are of course acceptable): no good other argument has been given. This article does not violate WP:BLP, since the statement is not "unsourced or poorly sourced", but sourced to one of the main newspapers of Flanders. If you don't like that, go out and search for an English langauge qource to replace it ([2] may be acceptable~, [3] this is perhaps even better), but don't just remove a perfectly good sourced statement. I formatted the English language references which User:Fram provided here and added them to the article. — Athaenara 02:46, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
