I beg to differ, but they're not necessarily the same thing.
I understand that this page is currently under the guidelines of the Australian community, and that's fair enough, but pasta salad is a very popular dish here in North America, too. Salad bars typically have varieties of them, along with the lettuce-based offerings--it's not just macaroni and mayonnaise here in this part of the world.
I've tried to enhance the article by adding much information that doesn't strictly have to do with specific commercial pasta salads sold in Australian grocery stores, as well as adding a picture. I'm not sure what to do with the unsourced part of the article dealing with the aforementioned particular popular Australian brand. I've pretty much left it alone for now, but I'm sure it will eventually have to be changed or at least backed up re: accuracy of information.
As for the recipes, I'm not sure that they should be here either, but again, I've let them be. Is Wikipedia really supposed to be about providing recipes and household tips, though?
Anyway, just my two cents--Canadian...lol. I, for one, don't agree the two topics should be merged, as pasta salad is not at *all* simply macaroni salad in these parts.
