WHO WAS PAT MARSDEN ??[edit]

So....some bot didn't like my revision to the discussion? If you were looking for an NFL Broadcasting figure like Pat Summerall, there are no such tags, but as Marsden was Canadian, and a larger-than-life Canadian Football League broadcaster...time to delete?? Was It Pat Marsden who got into a huge legal battle with one of the casinos in Atlantic City over an unpaid gambling debt? Niloc

that's the story, although I don't know the details, ie. casino, amount. Also I thought it was Las Vegas. You had better be sure of the information before putting it up. Atrian 11:24, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't going to put it up. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't confusing Mr. Marsden with another announcer. Niloc

Maybe that's why John Byner's Bizarre called him "John Marsden" when Super Dave Osborne did the jump from the CN Tower!! 15:09, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

Question on Marsden's birthdate[edit]

What source gives Marsden's date of birth as January 9, 1936? The only article I've read about his death says he was 69, which would indicate a later birthdate according to the Canadian Press. Spicy 15:32, 28 April 2006 (UTC) I've placed the date of November 8 as cited in a lengthy death notice in today's Toronto Star. I also noted the Bizarre Performance when he was Mike Walden's (no link for Mike Walden?) Colour Commentator for Super Dave Osborne's CN Tower Jump, and I also remember him playing himself in a movie starring Art Hindle as a troubled Toronto Maple Leaf player during the Ballard Years Bacl-presby 15:16, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
