General editing notes[edit]

I've now added references and links, all of which are legit. Can the alerts now be removed?

- I've deleted the notability alerts, as relevant and legitimate references have been added citing my status as a national radio presenter (people in the same slot i am, such as Brendan Maclean and The Cloud Girls have no such issues with their entries). Cheers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gallstoned (talkcontribs) 01:44, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest concerns[edit]

Back in 2012 I made some substantial edits to this page to offer a more neutral view than the obviously self-promotional material that was there at the time. I am concerned by the way that successive edits have clearly been made by Verhoeven himself, or others associated with him, and that these edits have removed the neutral tone and reinstated a self-promotional tone. This is a clear conflict of interest.

These edits have also elevated whatever Verhoeven has most recently been doing to the top of each section, and deleted past activities or reviews that the editor (most likely Verhoeven) has deemed unflattering. (Notably: the time he was cautioned by his employer for one of his tweets, which was covered in the media at the time and was attested with citations.) Just because Wikipedia is editable doesn't make it your personal CV; these pages are meant to give a balanced chronological account of someone's work.
