Deletion discussion for this article (July 2010)[edit]

I've requested the creation of a deletion discussion for this page at Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_deletion. A speedy deletion template (G4) was removed, so discussion is needed. The article appears to reproduce the content of another article (Peckhammer.blip.tv) which was previously deleted pursuant to a deletion discussion. The article contains numerous references, as noted by the editor who removed the G4 template -- but none of the referenced secondary sources actually appear to mention the article subject itself, so the notability problems (which were the reason for the original deletion) don't seem to be resolved. If an administrator follows up on my request, the deletion discussion should appear at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Peckhammer TV. 67.127.57.254 (talk) 23:01, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Response[edit]

The problem with the first article written (Peckhammer.blip.tv) was the lack of a secondary source validating the notability of the subject material (the web series known as Peckhammer TV). A new article was written after an article appeared in Sound Rider, a monthly on-line publication based in Seattle, WA. This article from a secondary source validated the notability of content. Unfortunately, the reference that mentions the article subject itself appears to have been removed recently, by that publication. The article was titled, "Peckhammer, The next generation of moto entertainment is here". A copy of that article does exist here, however: http://www.motionpro.com/motorcycle/articles/view/192/peckhammer_-_the_next_generation_of_moto_entertainment_is_here/ Souris40 (talk) 19:15, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:Peckhammer TV Screenshot 2.png Nominated for speedy Deletion[edit]

An image used in this article, File:Peckhammer TV Screenshot 2.png, has been nominated for speedy deletion for the following reason: Wikipedia files with no non-free use rationale as of 3 December 2011

What should I do?

Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to provide a fair use rationale
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale, then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Deletion Review
