Session Date[edit]

Can someone verify the date of the session? BBC seems to have it down as 1998-06-16 not july as per original article http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/johnpeel/sessions/1990s/1998/Jun16boardsofcanada/

even http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Peel_sessions#B has it listed at the same date (although I suspect that content has been lifted from BBC website) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Elwell (talkcontribs) 08:38, 26 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bands often recorded their sessions weeks in advance of Peel presenting the recordings on-air. It seems the recording date was 16 June and the airdate was 21 July. I updated the article accordingly. However, I can't verify the airdate; I'm just trusting that the date printed on the Warp releases is correct. —mjb (talk) 11:39, 29 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Article rename[edit]

I have moved the article.

  • Old title: Peel Session TX 21/07/1998
  • New title: Peel Session (Boards of Canada EP)

TX 21/07/1998 does not appear anywhere on the 1999 release. Instead, TX appears above 21/07/98 (without a "19" in the year) on the front cover art (and without "TX" on the CD label), but this is, at most, a subordinate title. A less generous interpretation, the one I'm going with, is that it's just an informative annotation which is completely separate from the main title, Peel Session, which is presented by itself on the spine of the CD packaging and on the labels of the vinyl record. —mjb (talk) 11:39, 29 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
