Contesting speedy deletion[edit]

If you check the references section there are references there from the BBC and the Guardian newspaper. Also running a google search for the exact text "Peggy Sue and the Pirates" produces over 35,000 hits. Therefore this band certainly does not qualify for speedy deletion. -- roleplayer 13:10, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

PROD contested[edit]

I haven't heard this band, but the article cites non-trivial reviews in the BBC and the Guardian, so AFAIC it satisfies WP:BAND criterion 1: "It has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent from the musician/ensemble itself and reliable." --Amir E. I've just seen them and heard their albumn. Great songwriters and fantastic live band. CYB —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.234.0.94 (talk) 07:32, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Missing[edit]

Why doesn't the article mention the former use of stage names "Rosa Rex" and "Katy Klaw" and former drummer Olly Joyce (aka Olly Olly Olly)? An encyclopedia should remember history and not just update to the latest promo release. -- 2003:E5:172A:22B3:56E:E07C:987D:7A8B (talk) 08:41, 11 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
