Mountain pass[edit]

The mountain pass known as Bwlch Llandrillo passes this way and is arguably the highest public road in Wales and ought to be mentioned with an appropriate reference. It is not tarmacked but is nevertheless a highway maintainable at public expense and on the highway authority's 'list of streets', hence its depiction on Ordnance Survey maps as an ORPA (other route with public access). It is at least 31m higher than Gospel Pass (549m) which is often cited as the highest and indeed likely is if we restrict ourselves to tarmacked roads. cheers Geopersona (talk) 12:32, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
