Penn State–Syracuse rivalryPenn State–Syracuse football rivalry – This rivalry has always been more intense in football than in basketball. The only time basketball is mentioned is when people talk about Joe Paterno's failed attempt at an Eastern Conference. That's it. 75.171.134.139 (talk) 03:23, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Series stats[edit]

The NYT Sept. 10, 2008 article states the series as 40-23-5. Penn State won in 2008, 2009, and again in 2013. The current totals then should be 43-23-5. If this is true, the P-S Sept. 1, 2013, article is in error. If verified, this should be corrected here. Thanks, DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 11:28, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, here's the rub: two of Penn State's victories have been 'vacated', according to the PSU athletics dept. site. So the adjusted official totals would be 41-23-5. Worth a footnote, though... DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 11:33, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
