Local gossip claims that the main reason Cook's works was never redeveloped ( some small areas were ) was that too many explosives had been dumped or buried at the site and any construction would be too dangerous. Pronunciation[edit]

Town of village?[edit]

Yes, it has a library and a population of 2,150. But most sources seem to describe it as a village e.g. Daily Post, Wales Dirtectory, etc. Martinevans123 (talk) 13:37, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I know, the Welsh word "tref", as it appears here can translate as either of the English words "town" and "village". One wonders why the council doesn't call itself Cyngor Cymuned Penrhyndeudraeth. Martinevans123 (talk) 14:57, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
