I move to combine this stub with another article in wiki called System monitor (note the "monitor" is not capitalized All who ney please discuss Lyskar 23:01, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disagree. Other system monitors are listed separately in that article, Activity Monitor on OS X, for example. The System monitor article should discuss the concept generically, and then have separate articles for the different individual products. -- Dave Braunschweig (talk) 19:47, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Performance Monitor[edit]

The article correctly describes System Monitor being replaced by Performance Monitor. However, the Performance Monitor text was incorrectly linked to Windows Task Manager. I've redirected it to Performance Monitor, but there is currently no such article. -- Dave Braunschweig (talk) 19:51, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Removed Performance Monitor links and added Performance Monitor content instead. Now, since the current name of this application is Performance Monitor, should this article be renamed? -- Dave Braunschweig (talk) 02:14, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Apparently Microsoft is back to calling it System Monitor in Server 2012. Found at Start System Monitor. I now recommend leaving the article named as is. -- Dave Braunschweig (talk) 18:42, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That's in the SQL server documentation, and probably a fluke. The official name given in Windows docs doesn't appear to have changed [1]. 86.126.31.175 (talk) 15:27, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
