Irish-born British?[edit]

If he was born in Ireland, he was an Irish citizen, so this needs to be changed. If not, we should be editing every person born in Britain that have Irish parents, to British-born Irish, such as the Gallagher brothers from Oasis, the singer Morrissey, Johnny Rotten, etc. (unsigned and undated comment)

When he was born, the whole of Ireland was part of the United Kingdom. He was British at birth: Irish citizenship did not then exist. Headhitter (talk) 17:28, 29 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Early life note - relocated from article[edit]

Peter J. O'Sullevan, Bart, has somewhat altered his actual pedigree. The school he mentioned attending in Switzerland, as a sickly child, does not acknowledge his attendance there. There are some in Kenmare, Co. Kerry, Ireland who take exception to his publicized pedigree. They would say that Sir Peter is actually (Sir) Peter O'Sullivan (note the"i") and that his father was Patrick O'Sullivan born at Rusheens, Ballygriffin, Kenmare, Ireland, and that his mother, Mary, was born in Gallway, Ireland. While Sir Peter claims he was born in Kenmare, there is no record of his birth there. Furthermore, he claims is "father" was a minor magistrate in Kerry. A review of Kerry records refutes this claim entirely since there never was such a personage. Further, Peter was raised at 75 Chapin Road, London, NW 2. His father, Patrick, was born and baptized in Kenmare in 1905. Hence Sir Peter's age is misleading given the birth year of his father. NOTE: : The then Peter O'Sullivan, (he had not changed the spelling at that time) EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED HIS ACTUAL PEDIGREE TO HIS COUSIN WHILE IN KILLARNEY SOME YEARS AGO WHILE ATTENDING A LOCAL HORSE SHOW.

Comments would be welcomed.

Please examine WP:VERIFY, which to save time states: "Even if you're sure something is true, it must be verifiable before you can add it". That means a identifying reliable sources that have made these assertions. Otherwise it's original research and not acceptable in Wikipedia. 86.157.137.146 (talk) 19:55, 26 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It appears he is continuously altering the article with the same claims but never with any sources. Even the paragraph here contains Weasel words "there are some" "they would say". Davebesag (talk) 21:55, 11 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Just reverted another addition of unsourced data here. --Bcp67 (talk) 22:02, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Birth date[edit]

This article says 3 Mar '18, the Births lists have him down as 2 Mar '18. Anyone know which is right? Martyn Smith (talk) 14:10, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
