Aboriginal History of Petersham[edit]

I think that it is important that we include information on the Aboriginal history of the area now known as Petersham. Currently, the page only describes the suburb's history from 1793.

I came across the following resource while doing cursory research into the area: https://www.sydneybarani.com.au/sites/aboriginal-people-and-place/ This page specifically mentions Petersham being the edge of the Gadigal people's territory which is an interesting and important piece of information. Also, in general this website provides a good overview on Sydney's Aboriginal history and could prove a useful source for filling in this knowledge gap on this Wikipedia page (and others about Sydney's suburbs that lack information on their Aboriginal history). Yes, I agree. I always try to include pre-colonial history when I am editing articles about places in Australia. I don't have time now, but feel free to have a go, using that source and anything else you can find. I have used Barani for other articles. Laterthanyouthink (talk) 00:01, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
