Article needs a thorough rewrite[edit]

Encyclopaedia articles cannot read like the insider's dialogue on a fan forum. It's a fascinating article, but it needs to sound less flowery and should not involve vague Disney terms.

Also, it cannot be written in a "we"-perspective. But most of all it needs more facts! Actual facts, not the facts the Imagineers want us to perceive as facts as we experience the ride. Tomsintown 23:11, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. And there are more than one version of the history of the ride (in terms of the plot of what is supposed to have happened to the fictious characters years ago). I am not sure also why the ride is, for the benefit of the article, split into three parts; also facts re capacity of ride and number of doom buggies etc would be of interest TimothyJacobson (talk) 15:08, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Holiday[edit]

Has the attraction been turned into a "Nightmare Before Christmas" attraction (like Haunted Mansion Holiday in California)? If so, is it worth writing an article on this? TimothyJacobson (talk) 15:08, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is the 'Phantom Manor holiday' decoration for 2010 a fact? There are no references cited and I could not find anything on the web about that. Could the editor please state where he/she found that information? Pascualangulo (talk) 06:38, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Facade[edit]

Whereas , I can see where the casual viewer , would mistake the outside as an homage to the Bates home in "Psycho" , it's not what the Imagineers used as a model. According to the book , "The Haunted Mansion:From The Magic Kingdom To The Movies" , it is largely based on the Fourth Ward School in Virginia City,Nevada. Inclusion of too much content[edit]

Aside from the obvious lacking of citations/references, the article seems WP:BLOATED and filled with excess information. Most of the article is written very well, but it seems that lots of information is WP:UNSOURCED and unnecessary. PerpetuityGrat (talk) 14:18, 26 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

General QOL improvements[edit]

Hey all- I went through and removed some flowery language, fixed some errors, and added some information. Generally just QOL improvements, as well as cutting down the page in some areas that were unnecessarily lengthy or wordy.
