In the section of this article titled "Medical Communication Agencies," there is a sentence that reads:

"There has been some discussion in the media regarding disclosure as it pertains to the use of professional medical writers (aka: ghostwriters) in this endeavor."

This is a quite misleading sentence--it implies that professional medical writers are also known as ghostwriters. I am a professional mdical writer, but not a ghostwriter. Professional medical writers are not typically ghost writers--if they are, then this is unethical practice, widely recognized as such in the industry.

The issue of ghostwriting (or ghost authoring requires more substantial description, in my opinion.

I've edited this section by removing "aka ghostwriters," but I think there should be a section addressing the issue. King of generalism (talk) 16:20, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
