Probably plot recounting error[edit]

The text for the plot says:

Instead, Hubbs literally falls into a trap – a deep pit that the ants fill with earth.

I think they fill it with ants. We have been shown earlier that the ants are very efficient at decomposing animals. In a foreshadowing scene, using an actual recording that shows ants doing scavening that has been (obviously) greatly sped up for the film, a desert mouse that ventured near the lab is killed and completely disassembled in mere seconds by ant hordes. In the intro explainer, a large spider (tarantula) meets the same fate.

Ants as symbols[edit]

Remember when friends became "all about work"... and how porn is real regular in some ways... Solomon's advice in Proverbs "go to the ant... consider her ways and be wise"... anyway... workers and drones don't mind having a queen... she doesn't steal all the attention, just needs a little honeycomb sometimes... but one more reason I always look for a version of the Bible that includes the rich man's name being Dives, which means "fat" and "rich".
