Early editors notes[edit]

Kappa Psi is actually the oldest & largest professional pharmaceutical fraternity. It was founded on May 30, 1879 at the Russell Military Academy in New Haven, CT.

.....Kappa Psi was founded as a literary society; it did form a chapter at a pharmacy school until 1898, which was well after Phi Delta Chi was founded.

Ugh[edit]

Founded is founded regardless of what they were at that time. Technically, PDX was PX until 1910. So, either way you look at it, KY wins in this regard.

Why doesn't this say anything about Coed, male, etc? Or membership numbers? [[TheAngriestPharmacist]] 05:53, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's flawed logic. If starting tomorrow, Phi Beta Kappa only admitted Pharmacy students, would it gain the title of "Oldest Pharmacy Fraternity"?

kappa psi started as pharmacy, absorbed medical fraternities, then split again. 137.99.134.226 (talk) 10:40, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Phi Delta Chi is the oldest fraternity dedicated to the profession of pharmacy - Not True[edit]

This isn't true, Kappa Psi went all pharmacy in 1924, splitting from medical. PDC went all pharmacy in 1928, splitting from chemistry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stevelundeen (talkcontribs) 16:14, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to be the oldest, you'd have to say that Phi Delta Chi proceeded from the oldest fraternity which was dedicated to, but not strictly to, pharmacy —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stevelundeen (talkcontribs) 16:42, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Settle this once and for all[edit]

PDC executive director vs. KY executive director. Cage match. 10 rounds. Bugs can bring some fury. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.223.94.102 (talk) 22:55, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I completely agree, Kenny Walkup would destroy him. How bout all of PDC verses all of KY at each university and most surviving chapters win. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 159.242.237.34 (talk) 20:12, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Damn straight. Walkup is a monster. Nobody would be left standing. It'd be a joke. As part of the agreement, if (when) PDC wins, KY has to agree to disband. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.205.4.115 (talk) 17:40, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
