Tags[edit]

Tags to the article were added stating that the article may not meet Wikipedia's general notability guideline. References are added at the bottom of the page to prove it's notability. That is why I am removing the tag currently. As for the second tag of orphan, different movies are present in which the person has been named, I will add the links back to this page. Thanks

The references isn't the problem with the nobility. Being first assistant director isn't notable. WP:FILMMAKER is the nobility requirements for filmmakers. We are just left with three small films to base if this person is notable. Bgwhite (talk) 06:54, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
He has also directed 3 films which have been notable in different film festivals and has won significant critical attention in the film world. I think that this article is in compliance with point 4(c)&(d). If I am wrong you can correct me Bgwhite. Thanks for the response--Inlandmamba (talk) 08:21, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
"directed 3 films"... That is what I meant by 3 minor films. And they are short films, one being 3 minutes. The film festivals were all minor except a showing at Cannes. Was that the main Cannes or one of the side shows? Plus, there are no reliable, independent references that talk about him. I don't see it meeting any requirements. I could be wrong. Yes it was the main Cannes. You can check it via 2nd reference. I have added that link too. I just added those links which I thought can prove the notability of the subject. I had some more links but didn't want to make the article a collection of links. That's why just added the specific links to the article to prove the facts. But if you insist, I can add more links to the references and also do the inline referencing to make it more reliable. Thanks --Inlandmamba (talk) 10:50, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
