Fire?[edit]

I live right beside this place and I remember hearing when I was younger that it closed down because a horse kicked over a gas lantern and started a fire that burnt down the stables. I've no source for this just wondering if anyone else out there might, seems from the article that this might have just been a legend I heard but thought I'd stick it up anyway.
