Creation date[edit]

This article states the work was composed in 1830, while Frédéric Chopin states In Warsaw in December 1829 he performed the premiere of his Piano Concerto in F minor at the Merchants' Club. Which one is right? --Rebel2 16:07, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article needs objectivity[edit]

Why is the author of this article writing like a music critic and not a music historian? This article is distastefully (and embarrassingly) subjective in its analysis. I think the main problem with this article at the moment is possible original research. It reads more like someone's essay and has two references--one of which is dead. I'm busy with Chopin at the moment but I will do this if I can. I'm stringing together a list of possible refs for improvement; feel free to add any you can find. I will add more bit by bit. Analysis[edit]

That Chopin was unskilled at writing in Classical sonata form is purely opinion -- an opinion that many scholars and musicians certainly do not hold. There is plenty of classic sonata-form technique displayed in this concerto. Lauretano (talk) 19:55, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

CNKI Source[edit]

@User:Intforce you removed mine CNKI source, but I think it is useful for this article. The source link was a download link for that essay, it does not have pdfs available online, but after you downloaded it, on page 6, it outlines the whole structure. On page 2, "Chopin 'F minor concerto no.2 ' was actually the first concerto he had written, but because of publishing issue, it became the second concerto. In 1829, Chopin have his first relationship, he met a classmate... Afterward, Chopin uses music to express the love." While citing non-English sources is allowed, they are hard for other editors to verify, see WP:NONENG. I'm not sure why you would cite a Chinese source given that the subject plenty of reliable sources in English exist. The Chinese article for sure is citing some Polish / English source itself, so why don't you add that? intforce (talk) 10:30, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
