FWIW, I have gotten 2465×1406 pictures on Picture CD–branded CDs (from Target, using a Noritsu S2 Film Scanner at 2167 dpi with APS film). So not sure if the Picture CD brand specs the resolution, as this article implies. —Fleminra 09:49, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Removal of "Photo CD is preferred for professional..."[edit]
I removed the statement "Photo CD is preferred for professional use due to its superior quality and capacity." because while it may have been true at one time, the successor format "Picture CD" does not have the same level of use among professional photographers due to the rise in Digital photography. Also the statement does not state what it is proffered over and sounds like a advertising pitch. --Cab88 (talk) 14:22, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
