Station name[edit]

The entry for Pilton railway station should read Pilton Depot or Pilton Yard. There never was a Pilton station — Preceding unsigned comment added by Steamybrian2 (talk • contribs) 18:52, 2 July 2013‎

According to Butt (1995), p. 185, the station was originally named Pilton Yard, and renamed Pilton Halt circa 1904. It closed with the line, 30 September 1935. --Redrose64 (talk) 20:55, 2 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The mention of "0" for platforms in the infobox appears to indicate that there were no (regular) passenger services here. Lamberhurst (talk) 09:34, 3 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Can also confirm that {{Quick-Stations}} p. 312 states that the station was named "Pilton Yard" and that services operated from November 1898 to May 1904. Lamberhurst (talk) 19:44, 4 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
