Oppose - The Italian term "plagio", which is often translated into plagiarism in English, derives from the Latin plagium (meaning subterfuge), which in Roman law indicated the sale of a man who was known to be free as a slave , or the removal through persuasion or corruption of another's slave. The English word has lost this meaning of kidnapping, man-stealing or enslavement, while Italian has not. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 08:48, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
