Shouldn't this be at least mentioned here? Good ref. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 03:36, 2 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hm, I see what you mean. I've looked through the article again, and can see exactly why I didn't include it. It doesn't really fit into this article as a species of plant; nor are its connotations in the least botanical. The article isn't a list, either. Probably best to stay as we are on this one. @Chiswick Chap Still, can't we find a place to mention it in a single sentence? It does seem like a significant ommission to me. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 10:28, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm extremely reluctant to bolt on "a single sentence" as that would inevitably be of the form "And another plant of importance is..." which is the worst sort of piecemeal list-construction. I've added a section on symbolism; this obviously overlaps with the Christianity article and the Two Trees of Valinor, but there it is. Chiswick Chap (talk) 15:58, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent, that addresses my concerns. Wonderful job as always! Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 00:56, 4 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
