To not merge as proposed; alternative appropach have some support but no consensus. Klbrain (talk) 20:27, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge with Neo-Marxism. I hesitantly consider , perhasp they're the same thig? this page explicitly says 'neo-Narxst' FatalSubjectivities (talk) 16:58, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Political Marxism seems mostly attached to Brenner, while Neo-Marxism encompasses at least Political Marxism and also the Frankfurt School that inspired it. This article is short and not likely to see much expansion, so merging would be viable, but not necessary. The Neo-Marxism article should say probably say more about Political Marxism. It might be worth considering merging Brenner debate into Political Marxism. Sennalen (talk) 15:16, 23 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Merger - an article needing expansion isn't necessarily a reason to remove it via a merger. If the article has the potential to cover new ground, it should be left to do so for as long as the topic area can be proven to be distinct from other articles, whilst still fitting notability requirements. 115.64.101.197 (talk) 03:22, 24 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Don't Merge Concur w/ 115.64.101.197. The term Neo-Marxism is so hopelessly vague as to mean nothing, because practically every Marxist in 2023 deviates from or innovates on the 19th century works of M&E to some degree. Political Marxism has a clear definition and can be contrasted with other viewpoints like WS thry or Cohen's technicism. However, I don't think it would be unreasonable to merge w/ Brenner debate in some way Nicknimh (talk) 20:53, 10 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
