Bingham Park and Whiteley Woods[edit]

There is a discussion on whether to split the Bingham Park and Whiteley Woods article at Talk:Bingham Park and Whiteley Woods#Why these two spaces?. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 11:51, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Extent of Whiteley Woods[edit]

According to the Historic England listing of the Porter Valley Parks, Whiteley Woods is separated from Bingham Park by Highcliffe road. However their map of the parks, based on ordnance Survey data, shows Whiteley Woods as lying between Bingham Park and Highcliffe Rd. I have seen other maps include both areas, together with a patch of woodland in the Forge Dam Park, all as parts of Whiteley Woods. Nowhere can I find a definitive border to resolve this discrepancy. Does the Grade II listed area named "Whiteley woods" perhaps differ from the extent of the actual woodland of the same name? All help gratefully received. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 12:56, 3 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
