Suggestion for a picture & References Help[edit]

Since you mention SETI, you should go ahead a make it SETI and link it to the main article as a "see also". Once you do that, this would be a perfect place to put in a picture of one of SETI's radio observatories, I don't think you need to go as far as contacting SETI since the commons have plenty of images of like the Arecibo observatory. Just search Wiki-Commons and you'll get plenty of them. I saw a few pictures that would work well for your article, and if not as a main header, as a picture for one of your subsections. As for the references, it looks like you use a lot of books from the same source. I'll format one book for you, but I'll be happy to sit down with you before or after class one day and show you how to make them all fancy and pretty. You can see what I'm in the process of doing on my article references (Nuclear Policy of the United States). Other than that, this article is really good man, you should get your mentor to submit this to the DYK process and get ranked for a feature article.

Needs Renaming[edit]

The name "Post-detection policy" means it a accepted policy, but it is actively better described as a proposal for a policy. So it better be named like "Proposals for a policy on extraterrestrial contact". Srinivasasha (talk) 15:07, 6 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

They're not just proposals, but have rather been adopted by various relevant scientific organizations in many cases. They are not part of any national or international law, though, and therefore they cannot be called post-detection law. Wer900 • talk 16:40, 6 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
