Why I created this new wikipedia page Post-doom[edit]

This past week I spent a lot of time updating and editing the existing Jem Bendell wikipedia page. One of the updates was a 2023 quote from GQ Magazine in which the term "post-doom" was used. I already knew of several books that used the term post-doom, but I needed to ensure there were plenty of references using the term and the concept it entails before I created a wikipedia page.

It is important to know that I have a personal interest in this page: My husband is Michael Dowd and he is the originator of the post-doom term and concept, and creator and manager of the Postdoom.com website (which has about 90 "post-doom" conversation videos he recorded and posted on youtube since mid 2019 when he recorded the first ones — each with a different guest). He's been wanting me to update the Michael Dowd wikipedia page for a long time. Somebody did it for him more than 10 years ago, so it is pretty bad. It is not at all an objective, referenced wiki style. So, if this "Post-doom" wikipage stands, I will then go into Dowd's page and finally (a) shorten and standardize the existing info which features his book, and then (b) create a new section on his involvement in the Post-doom concept and community. Added the list of 15 Benefits by Karen Perry[edit]

/* Benefits */ I added a new final para, along with a list of 15 benefits, with exact wording drawn from a substack essay posted by Karen Perry. I first asked Perry for permission to post this list (of just the titles and taglines), as this amount may be beyond "fair use". I received her email approval to do so last night.Cbarlow (talk) 13:49, 19 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
