POV material[edit]

Removed the following text from the front of the lede:

“In direct response to election changes related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2020 United States presidential election in Michigan,”

This makes it sound as though there was something wrong with the election process. I am pretty sure that is false, but more importantly it should not be said in the voice of Wikipedia Elinruby (talk) 16:38, 23 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Elinruby: Its still important to provide some sort of explanation as to why Trump decided to file these lawsuits. Its important for Wikipedia to be WP:IMPARTIAL TheBigRedTank (talk) 03:43, 25 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Costantino v. Detroit information[edit]

The Michigan Supreme Court did not “rule” on the case, as such. The plaintiffs (Costantino et al.) initially filed a motion for a temporary restraining order (among other requests) (November 8, 2020), which was denied by the Third Judicial Circuit Court (Wayne County, Michigan) (November 13, 2020); then tried to appeal to the state Court of Appeals (motion filed November 16, 2020), which appeal was denied by that Court (November 16, 2020); and finally tried to appeal to the state Supreme Court (motion filed November 17, 2020), which motion was denied (November 23, 2020), over dissent of Viviano, J. Plaintiffs then filed a motion to compel Wayne County Clerk (a named defendant) to audit the election results in Wayne County (November 25, 2020), which motion was denied by the circuit court aforementioned (December 8, 2020). Class action suits[edit]

Aren't there a couple of class action suits working their way through the courts related to the election? Shouldn't they also be featured here? Texas v. Pennsylvania also listed Michigan. Pkeets (talk) 01:36, 11 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
