Cleanup needed[edit]

No offense to the original contributer or anyone else who has added, but this article is a mess! Lots of redundant info, info in the wrong places... Going to clean it up to conform to Wikipedia standards ASAP. Ajbenj 00:57, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A quick google reveals that the history info came from here: http://www.oregoncities.us/powers/. That commercial website seems to be a favorite "source" of many. I'm not sure where it gets its facts but many of its entries are copied directly from Oregon Geographic Names. The demographic info is from here http://www.epodunk.com/cgi-bin/genealogyInfo.php?locIndex=15426. I wish there was a way to convey that though well-intentioned, additions from these kinds of pages aren't necessarily helpful without source material. I'll help with cleanup if I get a minute. Somewhat more reliable info from Coos County: [1] Katr67 07:36, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Demographics[edit]

Gives conflicting accounts of the gender breakdown, in one account the percentage of males to females is higher, but then the breakdown of females per 100 males shows females are a higher percentage than males 07:46, 14 May 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.139.7.65 (talk)
