Fact Check[edit]

I apologize, since I have no idea what to do in this situation, but: The area of at least one region in that chart is off by around 40,000 km2 (L'Oriental), and I don't think it's the only value that's flat out wrong. The source for the areas in the table is a dead link, and the other source listed at the bottom directly contradicts the data as given. Note that the data in the second source also seems to be wrong, since adding all of its values up does not give the same total as the total area given on Morocco's main page. That doesn't help. Is prefecture a translation of Wilayah? That article states that Morocco is divided into provinces and wilayas Rojomoke (talk) 12:28, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article naming[edit]

Shouldn't it better be "X Province" instead of "Province of X"? Similar to the reasoning at Talk:District.. TrueColour (talk) 00:31, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Prefectures vs. Provinces[edit]

It sounds like a prefecture is something of an independent city, that it's on the same administrative level as a province, a sort of independent regional city not a part of a province. But I, too, would love for this to be better fleshed out. Quite frankly, a chart will help. It sounds like below the level of prefectures and provinces that a prefecture can be divided into arrondissement, and a province can be divided first into municipalities, urban municipalities and districts. Finally (and prefecture arrondissements are on this level) the districts can be subdivided into rural municipalities. What I'm interested in is what's the difference between and urban municipality and a municipality? --Criticalthinker (talk) 03:04, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
