Link to ERIH?[edit]

In the 'See also' section is a link to the European Route of Industrial Heritage. On that page is listed the Scottish Mining Museum (with no link) and a link to Newtongrange. On the latter page it notes the Scottish Mining Museum as an Anchor Point of ERIH, but no link here. Yet this page also mentions the Scottish Mining Museum, but not Newtongrange.

Having just looked at Scottish Mining Museum (a link I hadn't previously spotted) there is a reference to the beam engine here (but no link).

I have no idea of the geography of this area, but it would seem there are ample opportunities for linking from the articles about ERIH, Newtongrange, Prestonpans, the mining museum, etc, and showing whether we are talking about one, two or three museums!

Gie's a brek. Prestongrange on the coast was the 'Scottish Mining Museum' in embryo from 68 - 84. By launch in 84 it had been joind by a second site at Newtongrange (Lady Victoria Colliery) a few miles inland. A coal heritage trail linked the sites. Funding came from various bodies mainly East and Midlothian councils. They fell out, and east lothian fell out with the SMM board. The sites seperated and Newtongrange became sole site of the SMM; east lothian formed PGIHM in 92. That's the summary, I was thinking of how to render it in English. Images at Geograph[edit]

There are some excellent photos available at Geograph, including a clear shot of the beam engine house, one of the head gear, one of the winding engine and one of the brick works. Most are likely to be available for use here and just need downloading to Commons. (Lack of time prevents me from doing this myself.)
