The result was not to merge --OneCyclone (talk) 03:19, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Pride of America is the sole Project America ship ever completed—therefore I'm not sure if Project America deserves it's own article as a ship class. Additionally most (if not all) information on the Project America article should also be included in this article to give a complete account of this ship's history. As a result I feel it would make most sense to merge the articles. -- Kjet (talk · contribs) 09:16, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I tend to disagree. Project America is not only about the Pride of America, it is about the project that was never completed. Just because the other ships were not finished does not mean that the whole project was just about Pride of America, which merging would suggest. Some information from that article should be included in this one, but most of that article is about the project history, which does not directly deal with the history of this ship. They are technically separate topics and therefore should have different articles.--Kyle(talk) 23:28, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I agree with Kyle. I wrote the original article and can see that some parts of the information could be blended with Pride of America, but the essence of Project America is what the project was intended to be, and all of the political jockeying that took place to bring the project to fruition. It is not about the partially completed hull that NCL purchased and transformed into their own vessel. --OneCyclone (talk) 15:28, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
