Introduction[edit]

I added Template:Intro-tooshort because the intro isn't helpful for someone unfamiliar with the subject. The intro explains the format, a two-legged knockout, but it doesn't adequately explain why this tournament is being played. "Liguilla" simply translates to "League" in English. How did teams qualify? Why were they seeded as they were? What does the winner get? Would someone not familiar with Mexican football understand the working and reasonings for this knockout playoff? Merger proposal[edit]

Articles in question:

The final match of the Apertura tournament is not notable enough to exist as it's own article. Matches notable for their own article includes finals of international club tournaments and national cup finals; the Apertura is none of those. I suggest you merge some of it, or delete the final article. Digirami (talk) 22:12, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Merge It should be merged because this final isn't as notable as the UEFA Champions League Final or a World Cup final. Black'nRed 04:20, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
