Redshift[edit]

If this thing is looking for 1420MHz reionization echo from the most distant supernovae, it's going to be looking for it at frequencies far lower than 1420MHz because of redshift. I'm quite confident in the old 50-250MHz search range, specially based on the log-ped construction of the array elements. (Log-peds are usually selected when you're searching for a wide range of frequencies, and Yagi-Udas are used for narrow searches. They are also inappropriate for searches at unshifted 1420MHz.) However, I'm not familiar enough with the primary sources to correct this article myself. Featherwinglove (talk) 19:03, 11 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
