Wales:Principal area v. County v. Borough[edit]

"Principal area" is a legislative term not a name assigned "for everday use". It encompasses all relevant local authorities whether they are nominally counties, county boroughs or whatever other English or Welsh description is permitted or assigned by authority. The legislation itself assigns the formal titular descriptions as Counties or County Boroughs so those (or just the area name without the title) will be what is expected to be generally heard. General usage however is not the same as a defined phrase.--MBRZ48 (talk) 04:36, 28 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
