'The Prior are unaware that what the Ori promise is a lie, and convincing them of the truth may prove extremely difficult.'

When was it revealed that this is a lie? As far as I know, it has not been revealed yet what is true and what is not. - never mind, just i've just seen episode 9.10

Don't worry, then, it's not revealed until The Fourth Horseman, Part I.

yeah, im sorry if wherever you live is behind by a day, but i post it as i sees it. Carterhawk 22:00, 20 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Merge Discussion[edit]

Since Doci is a stub, and the Doci are stated as being leaders of the Priors in the Ori article; I suggest that the Doci article be merged with the Prior article, then the Doci article should be deleted. Lady Aleena 23:53, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It has not been mentioned on the show if the Doci was once a prior. Note he has brown hair and colored eyes, something which priors lack. User: stargate70
I agree, we should merge the two articles because the Doci hasn't much screentime and because he is related to the Priors. Diabound00 09:55, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
At least until more is here on the Doci, like HERE!. Tertiary7 04:08, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted Zatarc[edit]

I removed a line at the end of the article likening the Flames of Enlightenment to a Zatarc, because I see absolutely no connection between the two. A zatarc is a being brainwahsed into serving the Goa'uld, the Flames of Enlightenment are not beings, have not been brainwahed, and do not serve the Goa'uld. Perhaps the writer meant that being subjected to the Flames of Enlightenment has a zatarc-like effect, but that's not accurate either, since the Priors are willing followers who are fully concious of their actions (Evidenced by Gerak defying the Ori and healing the Prior plague). In addition, a Zatarc has no magical powers beyond a tad more durability.JBK405 04:52, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Top Image?[edit]

I'm of the opinion that the image of a Prior with his staff and book of origin, at the bottom of the page, would make a better image for the top image. It does a better job of showing off the physical characteristics of a Prior, in my opinion. --Quadraxis 01:00, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm.... I'd agree, but I think the bottom image may be a bit too tall for the infobox. As it is, the infobox just barely fits on a 1024x786 screen, including taskbar and browser framing. -Darryl Hamlin 04:18, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article merge?[edit]

I have a question here regarding merging articles. How is this done exactly? Is it voted upon like a page move or not?

Because I found an article today called Ori friar which is basically an article someone created after mishearing "Ori Prior" and is basically the same idea, I proposed it to be merged into this article. Is there any other steps needed?

Prior abilities: The ability to function in an oxygen-deprived environment;?[edit]

The only episode I'm aware of from which anything like this can be infered is the episode Beachhead. If that is indeed the only source, then I think it'd be more accurate to say that the Prior are immune to atleast some toxins that normal humans are not immune to.

Of course, as Teal'C speculates in that episode, it's possible he has (another) personal shield of some kind. TerraFrost 23:47, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Prior's Staff[edit]

The Priors have powers, this is quite obvious, but do they need their blue staff to use them? We've seen the Priors be able to use telekinesis without having the staff... If the staff just for decoration, does it contain the powers, or does it summon the powers from the Ori?
