Non-revenue service[edit]

Eh? Does this mean the car owner didn't pay the railroad to haul it? Jim.henderson (talk) 00:53, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No. It means that the railroad that is hauling the car can't charge a fee for the contents of the car. In essence, the car itself is the freight being carried. Slambo (Speak) 13:30, 13 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
